Monks Win League Championship Series
It was a rousing finish to the League Championship Series at Monks Stadium today.

The Daegu Monks sent the Beijing Emperors home for the season with a 6-2 win in the decisive game of the series.

The Monks took the series 4-3. Up next on their schedule is the WBA Championship Series.

Hauling in the MVP trophy was Daegu shortstop Miguel Peña. His numbers included a .318 batting average, 3 RBIs and 5 runs.

"With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the WBA Championship Series," he said.

The Daegu Monks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the El Paso Thunderbirds - Rio de Janeiro Jaguars series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The WBA Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 25th , 2150.
