Falcons Clip Generals 4-3 in CS Contest
|
With starter Kamal Rai leading the charge, the Karachi Falcons defeated the Rome Generals, 4-3, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. The left-hander threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium to help Karachi take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Ala' Asad dealt the Generals a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Karachi leading 2-1, Asad, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2144, hit a first pitch curveball for a run-scoring single.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Asad.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium in Karachi.
