Fleur-de-Lis Topple Fitzies, 5-3, as Vika Shines
|
Aleksander Vika left his imprint on the 5-3 Paris win against the Tokyo Fitzies. Vika, who is tied for 9th in the IBL in extra base hits with 33, was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Reynante Daquigan sewed up the save, his 13th. Paris is now 31-44.
Vika had a timely hit for Paris in the top of the ninth. With Paris trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Paris.
"We're producers not directors," said Vika. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
