Foxes Lose to Meteors in Walk-Off

The Melbourne Meteors banked on Dylan Fullard and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Black Forest hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, Meteors. The win was credited to former first round draft pick Max Schmalzl in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Bill Horne took the loss. The last-place Foxes have lost 4 consecutive games.
Melbourne got a knockout punch from Wattas Mwenda. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
