Foxes Trip Pharaohs, 2-1
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Black Forest Foxes and Cairo Pharaohs.
The Black Forest Foxes claimed a close win over the Cairo Pharaohs, due in large part to Mariano Ochoa. The Black Forest right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Bill Horne earned the save, his 9th, for the Foxes.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Hohepa Keolakupaianaha? The former first round draft pick Keolakupaianaha stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Black Forest up, 1-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Black Forest manager DP Woodford.
The win has Black Forest at 25-51.
