The Karachi Falcons downed the Melbourne Meteors, 3-0, at Meteor Crater. Karachi pitcher Scott van Veen had a scintillating performance. van Veen picked up the win for Karachi, going 8 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 8-6. Adrian Dean closed the door for Karachi, picking up his 4th save of the year.

Chris Dover, who finished 5th in the IBL in OPS with .902 in 2143, had a direct impact on the outcome. Dover contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Karachi up, 1-0.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Karachi manager Slu Baseball.

The first-place Falcons have a record of 45-31.
