Ross Stars in 11-6 Win for Beijing
|
A 5-RBI performance from Matthew Ross helped the Beijing Emperors beat the Daegu Monks, 11-6. The winner in relief was Kyle Miller. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Beijing, at 45-31, holds down first place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.
Ross had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the second inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Emperors went on to win.
"Good win for us," said Ross. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
