Melbourne parlayed a decent outing from starter Jack Darroch into a solid win over the Karachi Falcons. The final score was 10-4. At 35-43, the Meteors claim 4th place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Edgardo Román had a big run-scoring double for the Meteors in the bottom of the first inning. With Melbourne leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Iván González, who is tied for 7th in the IBL in complete games with 2, and swatted a double to left. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Meteors ahead, 2-0.

Melbourne manager Bob Meteors commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
