Melbourne Sends Sukarno to Nairobi Monday, July 8th , 2148 Fans in Melbourne woke up this morning to learn that their team had traded 24-year old minor league LF Nakula Sukarno, 21-year old minor league RF David Grillo, 21-year old minor league LHP Darren Shafer, 20-year old minor league RHP Gustave Le Floch, and a 4th round draft pick to the Nairobi Black Rhinos. In return, the Meteors will receive 27-year old minor league LHP Quinton Ayala, 35-year old minor league RHP Karl-Anthony Carpio, 34-year old minor league RHP Tsu-wee Shih, and 24-year old minor league RHP Kareef Gamal. Nairobi will retain a portion of Carpio's remaining contract. This year, Ayala has registered 9 wins and 6 losses in 18 starts with a 4.04 ERA while registering 71 strikeouts and 44 walks in 107 innings. |
