Shih on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, July 21st , 2138 At the age of 27, Liann-wei Shih might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Karachi right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .462 batting average. For his efforts Shih collected the Intercontinental Baseball League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 6 hits in 13 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 RBIs last week in 4 games. This year Shih has hit at a .321 clip with 90 hits, 10 home runs, 39 RBIs and 39 runs scored. |
