Big Day with Bat: Nkosi 5-for-6 Friday, July 19th , 2148 A jubilant Roushdy Nkosi joined the postgame press conference at Toucans Ballpark to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Havana Dolphins pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Sao Paulo Toucans second baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 11-10 Toucans win. "He made it look easy," said Dan Farnell, manager of the Dolphins. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Roushdy Nkosi doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Frédéric Bertrand in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 10th.
