Padilla Hits in 20 Straight Games Tuesday, August 4th , 2150 The Paris Fleur-de-Lis may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 13-8, to the Oslo Voyageurs, but Ignacio Padilla continued to hit like a god. The second baseman collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Padilla is playing great and is on fire right now," Fleur-de-Lis manager Leo Messi said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Padilla was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss."
