Swap: Tender for Tender Monday, July 25th , 2140 It's all done except the paperwork. The Daegu Monks and the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars have agreed to a trade that will send 29-year old RHP Cornélio Tender to Rio de Janeiro, while a 11th round draft pick will be shipped to Daegu. A top front office executive with the Monks described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. Daegu will retain a portion of Tender's remaining contract. To this point in the year Tender has put up a 6-8 won-lost mark, made 41 relief appearances and rung up 23 saves. He has a 4.40 ERA and has allowed 44 hits over his 45 innings of work, struck out 43 batters and walked 16. |
