Velásquez Socks it to Stars, Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, September 26th, 2114 The Los Angeles Stars might think twice next time about pitching to Héctor Velásquez. At Field of the Stars today, the Carolina Flight left fielder burned Los Angeles pitching, going 5-for-5 in a 7-4 Carolina triumph. "When he's on his game," Carolina skipper John C told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Héctor Velásquez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Yi-lin Chien in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
