Phoenix third baseman Ruy Avelar thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Phoenix to a 13-10 win over Edmonton. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Avelar said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Avelar was 3-for-5 on the day with 6 RBI. Ruy Avelar hit a solo-shot off Ángel Sandoval in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ridwan Kadeen in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Daniel Hernández in the 9th.
