Barrantes Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, May 13th, 2115 At the age of 30, Juliano Barrantes might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Rio de Janeiro right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .435 batting average. For his efforts Barrantes collected the Americas Baseball League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBIs last week in 6 games. Thus far in 2115 Barrantes is hitting .333 with 10 home runs, 31 RBIs, 17 runs scored and has compiled a .365 OBP. |
