ABL's Top Player, Sosa of Los Angeles Monday, June 28th , 2151 25-year-old Jesús Sosa sent shock waves through World Baseball Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Americas Baseball League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Sosa made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .625 average, 15 hits in 24 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBI. Where the Los Angeles Stars third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Sosa certainly made his mark last week. Thus far this year, Sosa is hitting .386 with 12 home runs, 61 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
