Socha Sensational, 5-for-6 Wednesday, June 9th , 2145 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Gideon Socha is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Rome Generals at The Colosseum today. The monster effort from the 31-year-old right fielder helped the Melbourne Meteors take the win, 14-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Generals manager Tx Horns. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Gideon Socha doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
