Top Rookie of the Month Named by IBL Friday, October 1st , 2151 Abdul-Tawwab Talib certainly had a lot to crow about in the Intercontinental Baseball League in September. The rookie second baseman for Cairo tagged opposing pitchers for a .312 batting average and was the top vote-getter for the Rookie of the Month trophy. He won it by going 24-for-77 in 26 games with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 16 runs scored. This year, Talib has hit 12 home runs and posted a .276 batting average. |
