Padilla Wins IBL Prize, Named Best Hitter in September Wednesday, October 1st , 2149 Free agent-to-be Pedro Padilla has inflated his asking price over the past 30 days by winning the Intercontinental Baseball League Batter of the Month. In September, the 30-year-old Black Forest right fielder hit .394 with 10 home runs and 26 RBIs. If he keeps putting numbers like that up, he could be hauling in a big wad of cash at this time next year. Thus far this season in 92 games, Padilla is batting .316 with 27 home runs, 69 RBIs and 69 runs scored. He has 108 hits in 342 at-bats. |
