Monday, November 10th , 2149
Matt Gentry appears headed for a big payday.

The impending free agent turned in a dominant season with the Melbourne Meteors in 2149 and has won the Intercontinental Baseball League Reliever of the Year Award.

With his contract situation unclear for next season, it appears his dominant performance will have him poised to command big money.

For the year, the 35-year-old native of Detroit, Michigan put up a 2.81 ERA, over 125 innings of work. He made 93 relief appearances and had 26 saves, 94 strikeouts, 52 walks and a record of 6-4.

Tom Davis of the Beijing Emperors finished second in voting, while Talal Yunus of the Rome Generals finished third.
