Coqui End Romano's Streak Saturday, August 18th , 2136 Ricardo Romano of the Mexico City Aztecs came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 22 games. Making matters even worse for the first baseman, Mexico City dropped the game to the Puerto Rico Coqui 5-3. "It was not a good day today," Romano told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." For the season Romano is hitting .346, batted in 93 runs with 32 home runs and 96 runs scored. |
