ABL Player of the Week Selected Monday, August 27th , 2136 So far in his young career, Guan-cai Chien has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Americas Baseball League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Havana Dolphins shortstop hit at a torrid .536 clip as he collected 15 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored. During the current season Chien is batting at a .319 clip with 2 home runs and 49 RBIs. He has played in 120 games and scored 60 times. |
