Manstein Fashions No-Hitter Against Falcons
Friday, August 26th , 2146
In a dominant outing, Warren Manstein of the Melbourne Meteors totally silenced the bats of the Karachi Falcons, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the Meteors' 8-0 victory, Manstein faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 6 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Melbourne manager Bob Meteors said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Slu Baseball told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
"The Meteors had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Manstein pitched a heck of a ballgame."
This year Manstein has gone 4-4 with an ERA of 4.04 and has 64 strikeouts in 91.1 innings.
