Postseason Bid Ends for Daegu Wednesday, September 30th , 2144 The Daegu Monks may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in World Baseball Association. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Monks manager R Beadle said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." Daegu last appeared in the postseason in 2139. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 39 times in their 44 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Monks have missed the playoffs 3 times. Daegu has won the WBA Championship Series 5 times in their history. |
