Trapa Named August's #1 Newcomer Friday, September 1st , 2147 Most everybody across the league agree that Maximino Trapa is one fine rookie pitcher. And today the Americas Baseball League confirmed it by announcing he is this month's recipient of the Rookie of the Month award. In August the 25-year-old Los Angeles starter proved his worth by racking up 5 wins and 1 loss with a 2.21 ERA as he struck out 32 in 40.2 innings and held opponents to a .225 batting average. On the season Trapa has compiled a 10-8 mark with a 3.58 ERA in 24 starts. In pitching 161 innings he has 107 strikeouts and 56 walks while limiting the opposition to a .246 batting average. |
