Makungu Claims ABL-A Batter of the Month Award Monday, June 1st , 2150 For a rookie just breaking in, Salim Makungu certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the ABL-A Batter of the Month award for May. The 23-year-old shortstop for the Goiania Toucans hit .413 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and 30 runs scored.
