Jahangiri Shines, Shuts Out Long Beach, 5-0 Sunday, July 13th , 2138 The Galveston Jubilee posted a 5-0 shutout over the Long Beach Stars today on the strength of a strong performance by Zahoor Jahangiri. The Jubilee pitcher held the Stars to 2 hits while walking 2 and fanning 4 in the route-going win. "It feels good to be wearing a Galveston Jubilee uniform today," the right-hander said following the game. To date this season, Jahangiri has registered 18 starts, 4-9 won-lost mark, 4.65 ERA, 102.2 IP, 83 strikeouts and 46 walks. Opposing teams have hit .275 against him. |
