Ponce Shut Out by Quintero Sunday, May 17th, 2111 Pedro Quintero of the Guarulhos Jaguars toyed with the Ponce Coqui today, blanking them 4-0 at Jaguars Ballpark. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 1-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Quintero said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." Thus far this season Quintero has posted a 5-1 record, started 8 games, struck out 47 batters in 62 innings and compiled a 1.02 ERA. |
