Rivera Humbles Manaus, 1-0 Friday, May 29th , 2133 Lorenzo Rivera handcuffed the Manaus Jaguars at Ballpark of Ponce today, coming away with a 6-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Ponce Coqui left-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Rivera had little trouble with the Jaguars and led the Coqui to victory, 1-0. He recorded 9 strikeouts and 3 walks in an impressive performance. This year Rivera has posted a 3-2 mark in 4 starts and has a 3.18 ERA. |
