Winston Holds Cienfuegos Hitless Saturday, June 14th , 2149 The Galveston Jubilee had a lot to celebrate as 22-year-old hurler Lawler Winston no-hit the Cienfuegos Elefantes at Salta Grounds. In an impressive outing that keyed the 7-0 Jubilee victory, Winston had 11 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks. "He mixed his pitches well and hit his spots, plus he got a little help from above," said Galveston manager . "Lawler really took it to another level today." On his stats sheet this season, Winston shows a 6-6 record, 13 starts, 81 innings, 76 strikeouts and a 1.89 ERA. |
