Cherries Win Americas Baseball League North American Division Crown
Monday, September 3rd , 2142
The Traverse City Cherries are champions of the Americas Baseball League North American Division, but don't plan the parade quite yet.
"It's a nice accomplishment, but we haven't done anything until we win the A World Series," said starting pitcher Bashir Tanoli. "We're going to celebrate this for sure, but the real celebration is still to come for fans in Traverse City."
The club's record currently sits at 62-64. It is the team's 2nd division title and they will be seeking the franchise's 4th WBA Single A championship.
The team manager said they will take some time to celebrate the division title, but then it's "back to work" for members of the team and coaching staff.
