Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Elefantes starting pitcher Dennis Jancke. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." The Elefantes have made the playoffs 11 times in their 48 years as a WBA Single A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2144. In the last 10 seasons, the Elefantes have made the playoffs 4 times.
