Yao Tosses 4-0 Shutout for Multan Friday, September 8th , 2147 Zhi-peng Yao of the Multan Vultures was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Okayama Shogun, 4-0. "He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Multan manager said later. "When Zhi-peng does that, good things happen." The left-hander had 8 strikeouts, 1 walk and allowed 7 hits in the win. For the year Yao has compiled a 14-5 record with a 2.41 ERA. |
