Vultures Top Toucans in A World Series Tuesday, October 3rd , 2147 With a 6-3 win over the Goiania Toucans tonight at Ballpark of Multan, the Multan Vultures wrapped up their 7th title in team history. Multan left little doubt who was the better club. "Team" was the word of the day as the Vultures celebrated the culmination of their banner year in the victors clubhouse following the game. "Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said Multan manager . "Our players felt that way all year and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void." A jovial mood filled the air as Multan celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" in the works. "We're going to celebrate our team, our championship Multan Vultures," the mayor said. The champions completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division and a 90-42 record. |
