5-for-7 Day for Lien Wednesday, June 10th , 2150 Bjorn Lien exploded for a barrage of base hits at Express Park. The Caguas second baseman had a field day in his team's 17-7 triumph over the Plano Rancheros, finishing 5-for-7. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Lien must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Bjorn Lien grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. This season, Lien has hit at a .213 clip with 7 RBIs, 1 home runs and 11 runs scored. He has played in 28 games. |
