ABL-R Star of the Week Announced Monday, August 4th, 2104 Jorge Cantú burst onto the ABL Rookie League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie first baseman for Sao Luis garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 21-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .379 (11-for-29) with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs last week. Thus far this year Cantú is hitting .251 with 8 home runs, 54 RBIs and 61 runs scored. |
