Toucans Aguilar Tames South Bend Sunday, August 16th , 2150 The Campinas Toucans posted a 1-0 shutout over the South Bend Leprechauns behind a strong performance by Rubén Aguilar. The Toucans pitcher, who is tied for 5th in the ABL-R in wins with 11, held the Leprechauns to 3 hits while walking 0 and fanning 9 in the route-going win. "It feels good to be wearing a Campinas Toucans uniform today," the right-hander said, following the game. This season, Aguilar has worked 158.2 innings with 142 strikeouts en route to a 11-10 record and a 2.16 ERA. |
