He led the Campinas Toucans to victory, 9-0, blanking the Oakland Stars on 5 hits. He had 1 walk and 13 strikeouts. "You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," Oakland skipper told reporters after the shutout loss. "He just had a real deceptive fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
