IBL-R's Premier Batter Picked Wednesday, August 1st , 2136 Masamune Nakai has a lot going for him. The Bonn center fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the Intercontinental Baseball League has just picked him as its top hitter for July. In 23 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .376 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 22 runs scored. Nakai is batting .345 this year with 15 home runs, 83 RBIs and 84 runs scored. He has 135 hits in 391 at-bats. |
