Divisional Series Goes the Distance, La Romana Prevails Sunday, September 14th , 2132 The La Romana Toros are off to the League Championship Series after an exciting Divisional Series triumph. La Romana downed the Boulder Royals, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 6-0 win tonight at Eugene Ballpark wrapping up the series 3-2. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Dwayne Spalding, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Spalding put up a .350 with a .409 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 7 runs and scored 4 runs himself. The La Romana Toros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Oakland Stars - Recife Jaguars series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes. |
