Lundgard Batters South Bend Big Time Thursday, June 24th , 2151 Holgar Lundgard of the Trappers was unstoppable in his team's 24-3 victory over the South Bend Leprechauns at Ballpark of South Bend. He battered them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Mackinac center fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-7 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Holgar Lundgard singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
