Toros Win, 15-0, as Halim Mystifies South Bend Friday, June 25th , 2151 Nasim Halim was dynamite at Estadio Santo Domingo, blowing away the South Bend Leprechauns in a shutout victory. The La Romana Toros starter had everything working as he held the Leprechauns to 9 hits in the 15-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said South Bend skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Halim finished the game with 7 strikeouts and no walks. To date, Halim has a 6-2 mark in 15 starts with a 2.15 ERA. He has given up 70 hits in 88 innings, struck out 77 and issued 21 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .213 batting average against him. |
