ABL-R Votes Jaguars Lorenz Top Player Monday, June 5th , 2141 Otmar Lorenz must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .583 clip, then the Recife first baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the ABL-R Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Lorenz batted .583 (7-for-12) with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs. So far this year in 37 games Lorenz is hitting .412 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 13 runs scored. |
