Campinas Takes Divisional Series Saturday, September 15th , 2142 The Campinas Toucans bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a R World Series championship. Campinas downed the Las Tunas Lenadores 4-2 tonight at Foxes Ballpark, to take the Divisional Series 3-1. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Paris Xanthos, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the WBA Rookie League." For the series, Xanthos had 8 hits for .500, with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Campinas Toucans will play against the La Romana Toros in the next round. La Romana won their series against the Mackinac Trappers 3 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes. |
