IBL-R Names Position Player of the Year Award Winner
Saturday, October 14th , 2147
At the age of 26, Moges Daraja of the Bonn Foxes could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2147 was good enough to win the shortstop the Intercontinental Baseball League Position Player of the Year Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .268 batting average this year, as well as a .362 on-base percentage. He played 131 games and racked up 126 hits, 19 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 64 RBIs and 51 runs scored.
He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 20. António Sánchez of the Naples Naturals finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Joseph Sanchez of the Sargodha Peregrine finished third.
