Díaz 5-for-5 Against El Paso
Thursday, May 16th , 2148
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Chicago's Carlos Díaz made it happen against the Thunderbirds. Everything came together at the plate for the 30-year-old right fielder as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Beefs triumph, 7-1, at Beefs Stadium.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Díaz said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Carlos Díaz singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Díaz is batting .408 with 5 home runs and 28 RBIs. In 35 games he has scored 27 times.
