He may have less experience than most of his World Baseball Association peers, but that didn't slow Cal Givens down at all in 2150.
At the age of 22, the Oslo second baseman has been named the winner of the Intercontinental Baseball League Position Player of the Year Award.
He had a .334 batting average and a .434 on-base percentage this year. In 148 games he piled up 176 hits, 21 doubles, 3 triples, 45 home runs, 125 RBIs and 112 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Serafim Bexiga of the Daegu Monks finished second in voting, while Badal Unmesh of the Rome Generals finished third.

Tai Khuc took World Baseball Association by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25.
For his spectacular campaign, the Mexico City Aztecs star has been named the 2150 Americas Baseball League Position Player of the Year Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the center fielder.
On the season he compiled a .300 batting average to go with a .363 on-base percentage. The native of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam also added 36 doubles, 11 triples, 26 home runs, 83 RBIs and 111 runs scored.
He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 20. Rubén Ramos of the Sao Paulo Toucans finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Roushdy Nkosi of the Sao Paulo Toucans finished third.
