Americas Baseball League Honors Sao Paulo's Ramos Wednesday, November 18th , 2150 Today the Americas Baseball League announced the winner of the 2150 Rookie of the Year Award. The top-ranked rookie was the talented Sao Paulo catcher Rubén Ramos. The 24-year-old Toucans newcomer took the trophy by hitting .305 in 128 games this season and finished with 137 hits, 27 home runs, 100 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Danilo Samelo of the Puerto Rico Coqui finished second in voting, while Hansakaya Sampath of the Sao Paulo Toucans finished third.
