Young Torches Voyageurs for 5 Hits Wednesday, July 24th , 2148 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Russ Young is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Oslo Voyageurs at The Den. The monster effort from the 28-year-old right fielder helped the Black Forest Foxes get the win, 13-10. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Voyageurs manager Marq Ualler. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Russ Young singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jaakko Paananen in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
