Lewis Crushes 3 Homers Against Oslo Wednesday, July 24th , 2148 Black Forest Foxes second baseman George Lewis sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Oslo Voyageurs, Lewis told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Lewis pushed the Foxes past the Voyageurs, 13-10. To go along with the homers, he collected 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Lewis told reporters after the game. George Lewis hit a solo-shot off Mathieu Richet in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mathieu Richet in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jaakko Paananen in the 6th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Currently Lewis is batting .284 with 15 home runs, 36 RBIs and 73 runs scored. |
