Goto 5-for-5 Against Coqui
Sunday, August 16th , 2150
After a 5-hit effort to lead Rio de Janeiro's 10-2 victory over the Puerto Rico Coqui, center fielder Naruhiko Goto told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the World Baseball Association-level is really something special."

The 25-year-old player earned his accolades at Ballpark of San Juan with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Coqui.

"His swing is getting there," said Jaguars skipper Echo 127, who spoke glowingly of Goto after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Naruhiko did that to perfection."

Naruhiko Goto hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

So far this season, Goto is hitting .314 with 6 home runs.
